Adopt a horse
Interested in adopting one of our wonderful rescues? Here are a few things to know about our adoption process:
-4 Steps Horse Rescue requires potential adopters to have 2 personal references as well as references from a veterinarian and a farrier.
-First time horse owners will be required to board at a facility that will assist and educate them on equine care and ownership.
-A home or facility visit will be done prior to the adoption.
-If for any reason, an adopter is no longer able to keep or care for the horse, the horse will be returned to 4 Steps Horse Rescue.
Adoption fees vary per horse and are based on numerous factors. Please contact us for further information.

Sponsor a horse
If adoption is not the right fit for you but you would still like to help with the care of a specific horse (or horses), please consider our sponsorship program. Sponsors make a monthly donation to help cover the cost of care and feed for that horse. Sponsorships free up funds to allow us to rescue and rehabilitate more horses in need. Sponsorship is done on a month to month basis so you can stop at any time. If you are interested in sponsoring a horse or getting more information on the sponsorship program please contact us!
